JC. Princen Prambanan Temple is one of the main tourist destinations in Indonesia. Prambanan is located not far from Borobudur Temple. Prambanan only 17 km from downtown Jogjakarta. Monday-Sunday, Weekdays or Weekends and national holidays remain open.
The entrance of the temple is opened at 06.00 – 17.00 WIB local time.

Foreigners enter through a separate entrance gate with a shorter queue. Complimentary coffee/tea/water is provided on request. A sarong is provided & must be worn during visit.
Always be aware of pickpockets.
The large prambanan area will make you tired after circling the area, especially if you visit during the day with the hot sun.
Visit Prambanan in the morning or evening, use comfortable footwear, sunglasses and carry items as needed, if you are forced to visit at noon, bring an umbrella to avoid the hot sun.
