Datuk Nolee Ashilin Mohamed Radzi, chairman of the tourism committee and local government, said that Cengkerik Eco Park is one of the most popular tourist destinations. It offers a variety of interesting activities.
After officiating yesterday’s Stray Cat Festival at Herbal Garden, she said that operators offer kayaking, all-terrain vehicle activities, and petting zoo, as well as activities for children like digital library.
Nolee Ashilin stated that Cengkerik Eco Park, located in the Herbal Garden, was an icon that added value tourism activities in Gopeng.
He answered all questions regarding the development of the state’s tourism industry following the Omicron case in the country.
“A course was held to strengthen compliance with standard operating procedures for tour operators to help prevent the spread of the virus,” she stated.
“Various activities have been organized such as decorated cats, disabled cat competitions and unique cats. However, it would be better to take better care these stray animals.
He stated, “I will continue to support the Meow Food Truck in running related programmes to raise public awareness about stray cats.”
He stated that in the aftermath of the floods and pandemic, stray cat rescuers would be expected to increase and expand their collaboration with other agencies to aid and defend the situation of stray cats.
