Circular Quay, Sidney – The Centre Of Everything

Circular Quay

Circular Quay is the entry point to the many wonderful things the city of Sydney Harbour has to offer. Circular Quay in Sydney Cove is situated between the Sydney Opera House and Royal Botanic Garden on one side, and is surrounded by the Sydney Harbour Bridge on the other. It’s also Sydney’s main ferry port, making it easy to visit one of the world’s most beautiful natural harbors.

Take a stroll along the western end of the bustling transport hub to visit the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia and The Rocks, where the British colony was established in 1788. The other end of the waterfront look into Sydney’s past at the Justice and Police Museum, housed in an old police station and colonial court.

Explore the foreshore on foot and enjoy stunning views. Take a stroll under the world’s longest steel arch bridge, which is located at Walsh Bay, a theatre precinct that has heritage wharves. Follow the same route to the water, and you’ll reach Barangaroo Reserve, and if you keep walking down, you’ll arrive at Barangaroo Precinct.

Surrounding on the quay are some enticing spots to take a bite and drink, such as famous fine dining restaurants Quay, Aria Sydney and Bennelong that are located in some of the white sails on which is located at the Op House. For breathtaking views of the harbour visit Cafe Sydney located on the top of the historic Customs House or Hacienda in the Pullman Quay Grand.

There is a Gateway food court that houses more than 25 casual eateries that are fast and easy to access. In close proximity, Mary’s Circular Quay does an excellent cheeseburger. Head to Tapavino in the evening for Spanish tapas. Bar Patron offers Mexican fare, and Botanic House is a pan-Asian restaurant located in The Royal Botanic Garden.

The Squire’s’s Landing is a brewery with spectacular views at the northern part of the Overseas Passenger Terminal and Cruise Bar located in the same building, which is filled with cocktails. On the opposite part of the harbor, Opera Bar is a popular spot for tourists and locals alike. Bulletin Place is a great small bar.
