The formations range in size from one metre to five metres tall, and there are estimated to be around 10,000 of them within the park.

The Pinnacles Desert is best explored by taking a self-drive tour through the park. A popular route is the Pinnacles Drive, a 30 km loop that takes visitors past some of the most spectacular formations in the park. Other popular activities in the park include camping, bushwalking, and nature photography.

The Ningaloo Reef is another highlight of Nambung National Park. Located just off the coast of the park, the reef is one of the largest in the world and is home to a diverse range of marine life. Visitors can explore the reef’s coral gardens and observe its inhabitants, including manta rays, turtles, and even whales. Snorkelling and scuba diving are also popular activities in the area.
