JC. Princen Jember made his reputation as a city with the third most exciting annual carnival in the world by holding a fashion show on the streets of Jember along 3.6km consistently for 18 consecutive years. Jember, formerly known as the city of tobacco, is now changing and beautifying it to become a very famous carnival city, not only in Indonesia but in the world. All this thanks to the existence of Jember Fashion Carnaval (JFC) which was initiated by Dynand Fariz, President of Jember Fashion Carnaval since 18 years ago. He organized this annual event consistently.

Jember with Jember Fashion Carnaval is difficult to separate, because the tourist magnet is there. Every August, all hotel occupancy is full, even to hotels in other cities around Jember because they are booked by visitors and participants in Jember Fashion Carnaval.
Third World Rank Fashion Carnival
Jember Fashion Carnaval is the longest fashion carnival in the world with a 3.6 km catwalk. The annual carnival in Jember is ranked as the third biggest carnival in the world.
Jember Fashion Carnaval 2019 is the 18th JFC, held on 31 July – 4 August 2019 and this time it will take the theme, “Tribal Grandeur” (Majesty of the Nations). Aztec – Mexico, Hudoq – Indonesia, Minahasa – Indonesia, Mongol, Zulu – South Africa, Viking – Norway, Karen – Thailand, Polynesia.
