    The Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center is located on the west side of Clear Lake, 25 miles south-east of Houston. It is the monitoring center for all of NASA’s manned flights – the well-known Mission Control. Those visiting the Johnson Space Center will find much of interest in the Visitor Orientation Center. There are film shows, astronaut’s rations, models of space capsules, some objects from the Gemini, Mercury and Apollo manned space programs, and even some samples of moon rock. For those who enjoy a more hands on experience, you can try on the helmets that astronauts wear, and try their hand in steering a spacecraft in a simulator. Visitors…
