Visiting Kalimantan will not be complete if you don’t visit the Equator Monument. This is a unique monument because of its perfect location. The perfection of the Equator Monument at latitude 00 which divides the earth horizontally into the north and south of the earth is able to create an amazing natural event. When the sun’s culmination occurs right on the equator, the shadow of the monument and the objects around it disappear for a few moments. This moment only happens twice a year, namely on March 21-23 and September 21-23. So, if you want to witness firsthand the occurrence of the sun’s accumulation or want to feel standing without a shadow, visit on that date.
